What is the nature of Scrum? What are it's cultural characteristics? What are companies going to face if they introduce Scrum while trying to maintain their existing corporate cultures?
I am going to find out - with your help!
At http://scrumorakel.de/surveys/ you can find two surveys, each of which will take you around 30 minutes to complete. While this is quite a lot of time I am asking of you, you will help thousands of companies worldwide in their Scrum adoption. This might include your own as well at some point in time. If you have to make a choice, only do the first survey. They are ordered in terms of business value
Be part of the Agile spearhead and help to make the world a better place to work in!
In exchange for your effort, you of course will receive the results of the study as soon as they are available.
The survey will only be available for a limited amount of time. Don't miss your opportunity.
Note: If you are attending the Scrum Day in Berlin this year, I suggest you fill out the survey there.
as of now, this is not planned, yet. However, your idea is excellent; I will contact Gunther and ask him if he wants to distribute the survey there as well. And of course, you can always use the online surveys here: http://scrumorakel.de/surveys/
Is it seen as a subset of the "agile culture"?
Is it a "new" culture - or similar to "cultures" existing since centuries (i.e. at SEMCO and Morning Star)??
And:
I am wondering how far the "mantra": the company has to change the culture - otherwise Scrum will not work will turn out as "true".
If it is true, then Scrum is not a - tailored - solution for some specific and important challenges of a company but a "dogmatic solution" and therefore causing inappropriate problems in a company.
Maybe we can discuss this at the SCRUMDAY in Berlin here: http://www.scrum-day.de/workshops/dieagileorganisationvomhypezumdailybusiness.php
